Proud about your equipment?

Postby Admin » 21 Jan 2011, 02:28 •  [Post 1]

don't post pix of your cock

if you're a photography enthousiast, post your list of equipment!

I got:
- Canon 550D
- Tamron AF 18-270mm F/3,5 -6,3 Di II VC LD Aspherical [IF] Macro
- Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM
- Tokina AT-X 116 PRO DX
- Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II (shelved)
- Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS (shelved)
- Flash Canon Speedlite 430 EX II

and that will be it until I strike gold and have the money to buy a Canon 5d mark III when it gets released.

I'd love to have a Canon S90 or S95 though.

Interesting idea for a thread. Last trip I mostly used my Canon S5 but I have retired it recently.

Currently I use a Panasonic ZS3/TZ7 for everyday out and about and nights, and a Panasonic FZ40/FZ45 when I head out to the mountains or along the coast for a day's shooting..

Big shout out to ezflip for being my guide in this:

Nikon D90 (got it because it was super cheap)
Nikkor 18-105mm VR (I don't care if people say its crap - the copy I have is super sharp @ f/5.6!)
Nikkor 35mm 1.8 lens (needed a low light lens)
Nikon SB-600

And I'm done unless I win the lottery. In that case I have to buy ezflip a full frame camera first... ;)

I have my trusty Fuji S9600, it's a bridge camera, fixed lens 28mm to 300 mm manual zoom.

I lug a Canon XSi, with Sigma 18-200, and Canon 50 Prime with me around the globe.

But 99.9% are taken with my point and shoot Canon S95. It takes some great pics - may leave the big glass at home from now on and save the back ache.

or if BB gives me some more tips i think ill get it right one day.

That is a good camera to get Funky B. Plenty of features, manual settings, and great zoom. Just remember the most important part of a camera is the 7" behind the viewfinder.

Ah, ok then.......... here's a quick flash of mine:

Olympus E-300
28-90mm
80-300mm
Flash (GN36)

It's all circa 2005, but still cuts it with the best. Keep threatening to update it all but why when I can takes pics of beauties like this

Sweet malakor.

Yes I agree.. and I saw ezflip still has a D70s with which he takes stunning pics with so no real need to upgrade cameras unless they break. Lenses however ugh haha.. your favorite lens tends to be the one you don't have LOL.

Would certainly agree with that - have my eye on a 24-120 but at B35,000 I'm going to have to think very carefully about that!

Olympus did have a 12-60mm but not anymore and they're getting out of the consumer DSLR market last I heard.

Well I checked a couple of Olympus forums but could find no mention of them pulling out of the dSLR market so it's probably a vicious rumour started by Canikon users!

No it was actually an Olympus guy who ditched it because he wanted to be able to use that lens for a long time to come. Thread was on Steve Digicams if I remember correctly and you maybe right, he may have taken a rumor to heart.
