Phuket lb Friendly hotels

Postby SLBT_ » 18 Jan 2011, 20:40 •  [Post 1]

Hey guys, I thought I'd kick off this thread to start us all off on the right foot. Again, the list can be added to and is never exaustive.

Point to note: If I could ask anyone kind enough who makes an addition to the hotel thread if they can follow on from the theme, with Hotel name, webpage and synopsis. This gives all of us some basic information before deciding to research the hotel. Saves time and if a current BM has verified and recommended it then it certainly worth a further look.. Just trying to help a little boys... x

The Place to Stay
www.theplacetostay.com
Paradise Plaza

Synopsis:
Tom's p;ace is in the gay area of Paradise Plaza. It's a small secluded area and is off the main beating zone if you like.. It is also very close to Bangla Rd and to our fav lb drinking hole, C&D..

Ok, the rooms.. Tom has a variety of rooms for rent from smaller studio types to the top floor one bedroom joints. I have personally stayed in his 1 bedroom place on the top floor and it was a very good place to relax, unwind and fuck my brains out with as many ladiez without the hassle of over inquisitive or rude reception staff or joiner fees.

Rooms are quite comfortavle and affordable. Good place to stay and if you are there, you must visit Jan's place for a coffee, meal or a general relaxing drink by yourself or with friends. Jan's place is on the left outside the door of the guesthouse and in the small courtyard..

The Salathai Resort
www.salathairesort.com
Sawatdirak Rd

Synopsis:
This hotel is lb friendly indeed. It is on the higher price mark to be fair but you get what you pay for in my opinion. The rooms are of varying styles and grades. I stayed in the standard twin room on the ground floor next to the pool.
The rooms are of a very good size and very clean. They have a great restaurant out front which is very good and offers superb choice of meals.

You can bring back one guest and any other is charged at 500 baht per head, well it was a year ago... lol

Thank you - Phuket has always been a problem for me.

I'd be interested in details like free internet, in-room safe and pool.

Thanks for that informative reply gents. I guess I'll just go down the list and book at C&N. I've read they have a free shuttle if you book 2 nights or more.

Hi, I just thought I would chuck in my two penneth worth from past visits to Phuket. I have had lb's stay with me in the following hotels with no issues:

Club Bamboo Resort
http://www.clubbamboo.com/
247/1-8 Nanai Road Phuket, Thailand, Pa Tong, 83150, Thailand
There was no additional charge here for guests in your room which was a bonus when two of them turned up at 4am! :D
I did not book through their website as I actually got a better deal through www.booking.com than they would offer directly. It is a bit of a hike to the action from here but they do offer an free hourly drop-off service around Patong and the service was friendly and I would go back.

Kellys Hotel
http://kellyshotelphuket.com/
47/1 Nanai Road, Patong Beach, Phuket, 83150
Again, no charge here. Possibly the most laid back place I have stayed, very friendly and the rooms were good. It's in a good spot too about 10 minutes walk from Bangla but close to Jungceylon and the food market.

Patong Cottage
http://www.patongcottage.com/
05/14 Nanai Rd. Patong, Kathu, Phuket, 83150, Thailand
This was a really nice place when I stayed back in 2007 but they did charge 500 baht for having guests, although they didn't seem to mind if they were lb or female. Not reommended if you don't like hills or steps.

And yes these are all on Nanai road but I like the idea of not being right in the middle of the madness all the time and Mae Ubol market on Nanai Road has many eateries open through the night some of which do great food at cheap prices so it's a great place to soak up some booze or just fuel up before heading back to the hotel.

Hope this info is of use to people but if you have any questions just ask me.

Cheers
